Habitat : Scrambling on rocks and shrubs at forest margins, along footpaths, hedgerows in subtropical and warm broad-leaved forest zones, 1150 - 2300 m. altitude

Key identification features : A herbaceous climbing perennial, with 4-angled stem and branches with unequal stalked leaves in whorls of 4 and with usually reddish-brown flowers in small clusters aggregated together into a large branched cluster with small leafy bracts
