Pan India Bouquets
There is pressing need for reliable open-access information on the exceptionally rich Indian flora. ‘Flora of Peninsular India’ database exemplifies one such reliable open source. It has every qualification and scope to grow into ‘Flora of India’ portal and as such is an exciting and rewarding proposition. Data building towards ‘Flora of India’ initiative is our way forward. We begin to unfold the available information on the plants of non-peninsular states in this blog, the ‘PAN INDIA BOUQUETS’.
A work of this nature and magnitude has to be synthesis of data from numerous sources. Herbarium JCB, Centre for Ecological Sciences encourages and invites participation of user groups, individuals, institutions, and herbaria to help the 'Flora of India' evolve. Please share with us your field images, published data, herbarium specimens or scans of specimens and become proud members of this initiative.
