Key identification features : Erect, pubescent herb with a somewhat rhizomatous base and sessile, paired, lanceolate, toothed, pubescent, leaves narrowed to a bluntly pointed apex. Flowers (bright-blue) in a terminal spike-like cluster. Capsule 7-8 mm long, distally hairy.
