Comments / notes : It is similar to P. reidii, but is distinguished from it by the larger exannulate corolla.
Key identification features : It has oblanceolate to ovate leaves, rounded at the apex, narrowed to a winged petiole, soft multicellular hairs above and below. Scape to 25cm, farinose at apex, with a compact head of 6-7 pendent white, exannulate, widely funnel shaped flowers with lobes distinctly toothed (but sometimes subentire). Calyx often unevenly developed, divided to 1/3 or to the base, farinose within and lobes incised by 2-5 prominent teeth
