  • Comments / notes : Occasional on hills up to 1400m. Moist deciduous, dry deciduous and semi-evergreen forests. The kernels are used in sweetmeats.
  • Key identification features : Bark tessellated in prominent squares. Drupes ovoid-oblong, black when ripe.
