  • Key identification features : Shrubs or small trees; branches puberulous, whitish when young, armed with numerous, sharp, slender, pale-yellow prickles. Leaves bipinnate, main rachis finely downy. Flowers yellow in axillary spikes, longer than leaves. Pods stalked, black, pulp soft.
