  • Comments / notes : Occasional in plains and hills up to 1000m.
  • Key identification features : Bark whitish-grey smooth when young, dark brown blackish, rough when old, exfoliating in irregular scales, blaze light red. Inflorescence in terminal panicles. Bark is used in distiling local arack; also yeilds good fiber.
